10. After the Raid

Audio Transcript 1 This is the BBC Home Service. the War Office, today asked all adult members of the public to attend to their plans for after the raids. You should try to make plans now whilst still in shelters, to go and stay with friends or relations in case your house has been destroyed. They, in turn should also arrange now to come to you if their house is knocked down. Its comforting to feel that everything is fixed up just in case. If your home has been damaged there is a great deal of help ready for you. Full arrangements have been made to give you food and shelter, clothes and money if necessary and to find you somewhere to live. If you've not been able to make arrangements with friends, go straight away to the emergency rest centre, wardens and police know where it it is - ask them. Audio Transcript 2 That's the All Clear then. Good day and God Bless to all of you! Please remember your belongings and to take your rubbish with you. Salvage what you can, and you youngsters – don't run!
