08 First Aid Post

Oral history Transcript We didn't have bomb casualties in here at all. But we had epidemics of measles, diphtheria and scabies particularly. And skin diseases brought on by dirt and neglect, one or two cases of genuinely poor people. Our lighting in the first aid post was quite good. We had running water, we had to heat it to wash bandages and things like that. It was quite adequate. We had lots and lots of bandages. Triangular bandages and we always had to get them back if we'd used them. Wash them, sterilise them, and re-roll them again and store them away.
