29 Visit Zonnebeke

Visiting memorial sites and former battlefields is a way for many to deal with the past. In the 1920s, tens of thousands of people traveled here on a so-called "pilgrimage". They were wives, parents, sisters and children who never saw their loved ones again. With the module in this room you too can go on a pilgrimage. The region is littered with remains of the Great War. We invite you to explore the green surroundings of the museum on foot, by bike or by car. Don't know where to start? The touch screens gives you a start based on your interests. So go exploring and discover Polygon Wood, the many bunkers in the area or the impressive Tyne Cot Cemetery. When leaving this room, please place your audio guide in the collection bin. Thank you for visiting the Passchendaele Museum. Thank you for keeping the memory of the First World War alive. See you soon!
