05. Bart van der Leck - Composition 1917 No. 4 (Leaving the Factory), 1917
Bart van der Leck joined the group De Stijl in 1917. Inspired by the principles of Neo-Plasticism he increasingly abstracted his earlier themes. ‘Composition 1917 no. 4’ is a highly simplified version of his 1910 painting ‘Leaving the Factory’, which is also in the museum’s collection.
