Helene Kröller-Müller considers Redon to be one of the most original artists of his time and bought as many as 192 of his works. In a lecture about her collection, Helene’s art advisor H.P. Bremmer describes her interest in Redon as follows: ‘Once the miracle has been revealed to us and we have experienced the mystery of his work, it will not easily leave us again and we shall understand that Redon has awakened our fantasy in a deeper sense with revelations of his mysterious beauty.’
